I visited the Vatican while I was on the Amalfi Coast. They have this guided tour to the Vatican and Colosseum, and I decided to do it. It can be a bit exhausting, and you're always rushing. Unfortunately, SISTINE CHAPEL was closed, but it was good to see MICHELANGELO'S PIETÀ, ST. PETER'S BASILICA and ST. PETER'S SQUARE. Obviously, just a few hours wasn't enough.
The Vatican's museums have over 7 kilometers of art galleries with masterpieces as LAOCÖON, APOLLO BELVEDERE, RAPHAEL'S TRANSFIGURATION, SISTINE CHAPEL, THE PINACOTECA, THE TAPESTRIES HALL and the list goes on. I will plan a longer visit.
Curious fun fact: The Vatican is the country that consumes the most wine in the world.
