CETARA
Located between MAIORI and VIETRE SUL MARE, Cetara is a lovely fishing village by the TYRRHENIAN SEA.
The name Cetara comes from the Latin word CETARIAE, which means TUNNY FISHERIES. Thus, they have a great tradition of fishing, especially for tuna.
Enjoy the narrow streets full of colors and cozy restaurants, then go to the main beach to swim with a beautiful view of TORRE DI CETARA.
*AMALFI COAST is my favorite destination in Italy. It has everything you need for a perfect Mediterranean summer vacation. The fifty kilometers coast, situated on the SORRENTINE PENINSULA in the region of CAMPANIA, is UNESCO-listed and a paradise between cliffs and the sea. Amazing landscapes, amazing food, amazing everything.
The best way to get around within the Amalfi Coast is to take the ferry; it's super practical, the ticket price is cheap, and it has frequent schedules. Another tip is to avoid visiting it in July or August, since in July it is too hot and in August the Italians are on vacation, so it will get more crowded.*
