Copenhagen is definitely one of the coolest cities in the world. The world's best bike city is like a laboratory with lots of creative urban projects and experiments. The art, design, and architecture scenes are world-renowned for the best reasons. Thus, the city overflows with vibrancy and creativity. Tradition and modernity go hand in hand. Add to that many cozy cafés, design stores, art spaces, and a great gastronomy scene.
Pioneer in Sustainable Urban Development and sustainable living, Copenhagen is an architecture and design hub. Danish architecture has a great legacy, and it's known for its modern and innovative aspects.

Here are some cool constructions that are famous and part of the cityscape:

SUPERKILEN PARK

A public space in NØRREBRO designed by BJARKE INGELS GROUP, SUPERFLEX and TOPOTEK1.
The park was built to bring communities together and celebrate diversity.

THE CIRCLE BRIDGE
Designed by artist OLAFUR ELIASSON, the bridge was inspired by the shape of old ships to honor Copenhagen's maritime history.
The circular shape invites you to slow down and enjoy the view as you cross it.
REFSHALEØEN
A cool neighborhood to visit is Refshaleøen, an industrial area with hipster spots and alternative vibes. You will find there a cultural mix with great restaurants with different styles, the contemporary art museum COPENHAGEN CONTEMPORARY (CC), and, for a relaxing time, the BAR BAGHAVEN with great brews and a great view by the harbor.
NYHAVN CANAL
Originally, a commercial port where sailors from around the world would stop to enjoy pubs and sex workers, the Canal is now home to many restaurants, cafés and jazz bars.
The colorful old buildings were renovated, and the area is normally crowded with people having a relaxing day.
LOUISIANA MUSEUM OF MODERN ART
Close to Copenhagen is the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. This beautiful modernist building from the 1950s, nestled in the middle of nature, holds a large collection of modern art with over 4,000 works, including a sculpture park. Founded in the 1950s by KNUD W. JENSEN.
CHRISTIANIA
Christiania was founded in 1971 and remains controversial to the present day. It is an independent area inside Copenhagen with its own rules. It was built based on the hippie ideology of freedom and community life. Furthermore, it works on its own terms, and no police are allowed. Although it is open for visits, taking pictures is forbidden.
During the weekend, there is an organized fair where you can buy pot and hash.
It is said that Christiania is controlled by criminal groups and can have a tough environment.
