CORNIGLIA

The only village that has no direct access to the sea, Corniglia is on the top of a hill and is surrounded by vineyards. With Roman origins, it was known in ancient times for its wine, according to evidence found in Pompeii. So try some wine there and enjoy the view ;)
*CINQUE TERRE consists of FIVE SMALL FISHING VILLAGES in the REGION OF LIGURIA, northwest of the Italian Riviera coastline. The villages are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
Protected by UNESCO, it has unique scenic landscapes along the Mediterranean Sea with
colorful old-century houses, fishing boats and bays, great seafood, and vineyards. It is also well known for its pesto.
Due to its small structure, it is probably not a nice place to visit during the high season. Actually, I always avoid Italian beaches in July and August due to the crowds.
Cinque Terre is fortunately CAR FREE, and it's easy to get to the other villages by train or boat.*
