RIOMAGGIORE
The small village inspired paintings by TELEMACO SIGNORINI. Here you will find scenic landscapes, a small beach, the ferry, and some alleys to take a stroll and have a coffee.
*CINQUE TERRE consists of FIVE SMALL FISHING VILLAGES in the REGION OF LIGURIA, northwest of the Italian Riviera coastline. The villages are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
Protected by UNESCO, it has unique scenic landscapes along the Mediterranean Sea with
colorful old-century houses, fishing boats and bays, great seafood, and vineyards. It is also well known for its pesto.
Due to its small structure, it is probably not a nice place to visit during the high season. Actually, I always avoid Italian beaches in July and August due to the crowds.
Cinque Terre is fortunately CAR FREE, and it's easy to get to the other villages by train or boat.*
